ABOUT LIVING AT TAPESTRY FARM (for your breeding girls or boarded animals):

I have a fairly typical barn setup. Access in to the barns at all times for the herd for protection from the heat, cold and wind. Camelids aren't partial to wind. I've recently built a loafing shed for my growing herd of males.

We do monthly wormings, annual vaccines and limit alpacas to 5 per acre. We perform semi-annual wormings or more as needed, annual vaccinations for CD&T and West Nile Virus. I am currently building a larger bio-security area for quarantine of incoming animals. All worming and vaccination is done on the farm by me. I work closely with two local veterinarians to ensure my herd stays healthy and that we have successful breedings and births.

I like to think I provide strong customer service, but I believe that continuing education is vital to new and experienced breeders alike.
